June

Hi, I’m June.

I’m a 1978 Volkswagen Kombi born in the era of peace, love, and freedom, with a rich history and a story to tell.

I was adopted by Baisey in June of 2019. At the time my name was Sylvester and my Miami Blue paint had been coated with a thick black paint.

I had been manufactured in Germany in 1978 and since traveled countless miles, carrying its passengers on memorable journeys and adventures. I could tell Baisey was going to take care of me and had big plans for our future.

Over the years, I had witnessed the changing landscapes and cultures, becoming a witness to the passing of time. I’ve been a faithful companion to my owners, providing them with a sense of freedom and a means to explore the world.

Alongside Baisey, I stand as a symbol of nostalgia, freedom, and a bygone era serving as a reminder of simpler times, when the journey was just as important as the destination.

Whether parked at an Farmers Market displaying upcycled clothing or cruising down the highway, I spark conversations and memories, connecting people through a shared love for classic automobiles and symbol of freedom.

Fun Facts:

  • Baisey learned to drive “stick” on a 1969 VW beetle convertable
  • Baisey’s dad had a VW Dealership in the late 60’s thru mid 70’s
  • June’s sticker window has the family dealership sticker from McMullen Volkswagen in Ellsworth Maine
